I just made a lovely chicken dish: brown chicken pieces, then cover in a few sliced onions, mushrooms, tomatoes or tomato sauce and a full cup of red wine vinegar; add a bit of honey to cut the acid. Simmer until the chicken is done. Reduce the sauce before serving. Delicious!

We are in Dallas, Texas in the US.

At 12:03pm on August 13, 2008, J. David Curlee said…: Here in the US, there's Italian (all the tomato based stuff) then there's Italian grill (marsalla, grilled stuff), that's what I like. I'm not big on heavy tomato based dishes, but oh I love chicken marsalla, alfredo etc.
